Mariners Meet Royals in Semis
The final women's semi will see the Mariners and Royals battle for a berth in the gold medal game

The top ranked Mariners take the floor for the first time in the PACWEST championship tournament on Friday afternoon when they meet the Royals in a semi-final.
The Mariners are undefeated and earned a bye into the semis where they face the fourth seeded Royals who they saw three times in the month of February and swept them by an average of 9.3 points. In the seasonal series the were held to 31% shooting and Amber Lease led the offence with 12 points a game.
On the other side the Royals did not play well in their quarterfinal victory over the Camosun Chargers. They trailed for the major of the game, not getting their first lead until halfway through the fourth quarter. They did advance with a 67-56 victory and Karalee Antonie led the way with 18 points as they shot 31% from the field. Against the Mariners in the seasonal series, they shot 36% from the field and Jenessa Knapp averaged 13.6 points a game.
