The Capilano Blues earned an upset victory on Friday
The Capilano Blues have punched their ticket to the PACWEST gold medal game and the CCAA national championship after an 82-74 upset victory over the #2 Camosun Chargers on Friday afternoon.
The Blues used stifling defence not allowing the Chargers room to work in the paint. Their quick hands tipped several passes and created 13 turnovers. On the offensive side the Blues shot 40.8% from the field led by Martin Bogajev for the second straight game and his 21 points. Tyrone Asenoguan tallied 19 and Sam Bailey was a difference maker added 14 and playing strong interior defence.
