PACWEST Basketball Championship
The 2022 PACWEST basketball championship is set
The 2022 basketball PACWEST championship tournament is set to begin on Thursday March 3rd on the campus of Columbia Bible College for the first time since 2015. The six-team tournament gives the top two seeds a bye into the semi-finals which are scheduled for Friday. Then Saturday the medal games will take place with the winner punching their ticket to the National Championship.
This will be the first PACWEST basketball championship since March of 2020 and tournament passes are available now. Reserve your spot to watch all 12 games and purchase your pass HERE. Whether travelling from a distance or just wanting to ensure you can attend the games the championship pass is a great option which can be purchased at any time online. Meanwhile the championship website is also the official home of the tournament and will feature game previews, summaries, featured interviews and links to the free web stream.
The winner of the women's bracket will represent the PACWEST at the CCAA national finals, which will be hosted at VIU. The Mariners already have a berth in the championship as the “host” team so the PACWEST will have two teams at the nationals.
On the men's side they will travel to Ontario and play at Humber College in Toronto for the national championship. The PACWEST will receive a wildcard berth as well so both teams playing for PACWEST gold on Saturday will be off to the “six.”
The PACWEST championship tournament runs from Thursday March 3 – Saturday March 5. Games for both men and women will begin each day at 12:30pm and be broadcasted live with a free stream.
Spectators wanting to watch a game live and in person, the tournament pass is available with the link above or admission can be purchased at the door either with credit, debit or cash.
Please note, all spectators (ages 12+) will need to present a valid vaccine passport (2 doses or more) for entry. Masks are mandatory in Columbia Place on the campus of Columbia Bible College and all other buildings on campus.
