For the second time in three seasons the Douglas Royals win PACWEST bronze

For the second time in three seasons the Royals are PACWEST bronze medalists after a 74-63 victory over the Chargers.

The Royals shot 41% from the field led by Sydney Fraess who dropped in 16 points and had 11 rebounds while Jessica Castillo was terrific down the stretch and scored 14 points. Cassie Brinn was named the Player of the Game after her high energy defence was a factor and she scored 12 points offensively.

On the other side of the floor the Chargers struggled especially out of halftime where they scored just seven points in the third quarter. Overall they shot 33% from the field led by Chloe Scaber and her game high 21 points. Sierra Reisig added 12 in a losing cause and Aiden Kilcommons had 11. The Chargers are now 1-5 in bronze medal games in this decade.
