PACWEST WBB Semi-Final - Royals v. Blues

Yesterday the Royals punched their ticket to today’s semi-final with a lopsided win over the Okanagan Coyotes 77-54.  The Blues meanwhile earned a bye into this game after a terrific regular season that saw them finish second and will have the home court advantage today.

During the regular season these two teams met three times with the Blues winning twice.  The Royals lone victory was an overtime thriller back in November.    Each of the games were tight with the average margin of victory of just seven points.

The last playoff meeting between these two schools was the gold medal game in 2017 when the Royals upset the top seeded Blues 70-63.  Oddly enough the last time they met in a semi-final was in 2016, the last time the Blues hosted this tournament.  The Blues won that game 72-69 and eventually won silver.
