A strong fourth quarter leads the Chargers to a five point win

The Camosun Chargers came from behind in the fourth quarter to beat the Langara Falcons by five points in the men’s quarterfinal at the PACWEST basketball championship on Thursday.
The Chargers were led by their Player of the Game Shaquille Maharaj who dropped 36 points including nine important points in the final quarter. Atlas St. Paul-Butler was a major factor early on scoring 14 of his 18 points in the first half. He knocked down four-three pointers.
For the second straight year the Falcons season comes to a close at the hands of the Chargers in a quarterfinal. Moeiz Athaya was simply amazing scoring a game high 39 points hitting eight-three pointers while point guard Luka Lizdek finished with 26 points. At halftime these two players combined to score 43 of the Falcons 46 points.
The Chargers now move onto the semi-final and will face the top seeded Douglas Royals on Friday at 8:00pm.
