Soccer's Best From Nationals

The PACWEST would like to recognize a pair of soccer athletes from the Douglas Royals after their outstanding run through the CCAA national championship.

Female Soccer Athlete of the Week
Kya Cleto – Douglas Royals

She was named a championship tournament All-Star after a terrific effort in PEI that had the Royals finishing fifth.  She had the lone goal in the Royals final game of the tournament and her final collegiate game.  Her leadership on the pitch was one of the major reasons why she was on the only Royals played named an All-Star.

Male Soccer Athlete of the Week
Ben Beaulieu – Douglas Royals

He was named the championship tournament Most Valuable Player in Windsor as he helped the Royals win their first national gold medal since 2005.  He was the vocal leader on the pitch all weekend as the Royals went undefeated and outscored the opposition 8-1.
