The Chargers snapped their two-game slide on Saturday, sweeping the visiting Avalanche to win their ninth of the season.
They took control early with a 25-18 win over the visitors and continued to pour it on in the second, winning 25-13. In the third they rode their momentum to a 25-21 win, capturing the match.
For the Avalanche, they lose their 13th of the year and sixth straight. They sit in last place in the standings but still have an outside shot of making the playoffs, but they need to win out for that to happen.
The Chargers (9-8) will host the Avalanche (4-13) again on Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm. It’s the end of a very long road trip for the Avalanche who will play in their fourth match in four days. WATCH HERE.
