The VIU Mariners move to the national semi-final after a 3 set sweep

The VIU Mariners made quick work of the RSEQ’s Boomerang d’Andre-Laurendeau in the national quarterfinal dominating them in three-straight; 25-16, 25-12 and 25-7.

Offensively All-Canadian Mikayla Wagner collected a match high nine kills and had seven digs and two blocks. Showing their balanced attack player of the match Danielle Groenendijk added eight kills and two aces while Taylor Wickson tallied seven kills.

The Mariners now move onto the semi-finals to face the defending CCAA champion Lakeland Rustlers who defeated the ACAA’s MSVU Mystics on Thursday in four sets. Match time is set for 5:00pm PST.
