CBC splits series with visiting COTR
On Friday night in Abbotsford, the visiting COTR Avs would repay the host Bearcats for their loss Thursday night. Both teams failed to produce the same intensity that was experienced Thursday evening. COTR came out strong as the Avs took the first set 25-22 and would easily take the second and third sets 25-12, 25-13.
The win for the Avs, along with the loss last night, kept the two teams still 6 points apart with no movement in the standings. CBC is now on the road for next weekend's two match road series with the Douglas Royals. The Avs get to stay at home and prepare for the visiting Camosun Chargers.
Notable performamces for the Cats came from Becky Garner (11 kills, 3digs), Kendal Venzke (5 kills, 15 digs) and Breanna Willms (1 kill, 1 block, 8 digs). The Avs had a few of their own. Kelsey Thompson had a solid night (15 kills, 3 aces, 16 digs), Alexa Koshman (16 digs), Kennedy Koop (9 kills, 4 blocks, 3 digs) and Adrie Goodman (5 kills, 1 block, 2 aces, 8 digs)
