The Royals women's soccer team is coming off a fifth place finish at the CCAA nationals
The Douglas Royals women’s soccer team is coming off a fifth place finish at the CCAA national championship a year ago after winning the PACWEST gold medal.
Prior to last season it was announced that the Royals will host the 2018 national championship in November and have an automatic berth.
As the defending PACWEST champs the Royals will no doubt once again be one of the favourites this season. They will open up their title defence on September 8th as Ryan Watters talks with head coach Chris Laxton about their roster, their strength and keeping focus on their ultimate prize.

2017 Result: won the PACWEST gold medal, then finished fifth at the CCAA national championship
2018 Impact Player: Sam Kell enters her fifth and final season and was last year’s leading goal scorer.
