Three women's games tip-off on Saturday

For the second straight day the Mariners and Royals will tip-off in Week 13 of the regular season. Last night the Mariners held on for a 68-64 victory in a highly competitive game that was tied going into the final quarter. The Royals defence frustrated the country’s top team holding them to 27% shoot from the field and only 57% from the free-throw line. Amber Lease and Ranika Guyton each scored 13 points in the win.
The Royals shot 43% from the field last night with Jenessa Knapp scoring a game high 19 points and Laini Glover had a double-double of 14 points and 10 boards. The loss is the second straight for the Royals who now trail the Capilano Blues in the standings by two points in the race for second place.

For the second straight night the Blues and Falcons will square off after the Blues’ defence stifled the Falcons last night in a 67-31 victory.
The Blues defence held the Falcons to 14% shooting and single digit scoring in the first three quarters of the game on route to their 10th win of the campaign. Offensively Mackenzie Smith scored a game high 17 points and Ida Jonsson Ojala potted 12 points and snagged 12 rebounds.
With the win the Blues have now won five in a row and take sole possession of second place. The Falcons on the other hand lose for the 13th time and will play their final game of the regular season tonight and will finish in sixth place. They will play in a PACWEST quarterfinal on March 3rd part of the championship tournament.
CBC Bearcats @ Okanagan Coyotes - Saturday February 19, 6:00pm | WATCH HERE
It’s the second meeting of the season between the Bearcats and Coyotes when they tip off in Kelowna on Saturday night. They met last weekend with the Coyotes scoring a 96-36 victory behind 45% shooting and a 32-point performance from Elizabeth Henne to complement her 14 rebounds. Jordan Kemper also had a wonderful night scoring 30 points. They currently sit fourth in the standings, four points back of the Douglas Royals for third with a game in hand. Following the weekend set with the Bearcats they will welcome the Royals for a massive doubleheader next weekend.
The Bearcats have been eliminated from post-season play however they have a chance to play the spoiler against the Coyotes and keep them in fourth. They shot 24% in the meeting last weekend with Ryann Lee leading the way with 20 points, along with a great game from Tolu Ojo and her 10 points and 18 rebounds.
