The Royals, Mariners and Bearcats claim a Friday night win

The Royals scored the first hoop on Friday night and never gave up the lead setting the pace after outscoring the Chargers 20-9 in the first quarter. They shot 31% for the game and saw three players record a double-double.
Rachel Beauchamp led the way with 17 points and 12 rebounds, followed by 11 points and 17 boards from Nanaya Miki and Sarah Jorgenson’s 10 points and 12 rebounds. Ellen Fallis (pictured) also had a big night with 13 points.
The Chargers on the other hand shot 23.7% from the field led by Ella Goldschmid’s game high 18 points. She was the only Charger to reach double-digits.

Capilano Blues 61
The Mariners caught fire in the first quarter outscoring the Blues 30-13 as they shot a blistering 61% in the first half alone. However the Blues battled back in the third quarter outscoring the Mariners 21-6.
Emily Clarke was a force for the visitors and the Blues had no answer. She scored a game high 23 points and pulled down 11 rebounds while Emma Platner tallied 11 points hitting three-three pointers.
The Blues offence was balanced with Carmelle M’Bikata leading the way with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Reiko Ohama scored 14 points and Sherrie Errico came off the bench and added 10 in the loss.

The Bearcats held onto the win in a defensive struggle and watched Anna Kamerman carry them offensively. She scored a game high 24 points accounting for 51% of their scoring and she pulled down nine rebounds. Makayla Starman was outstanding on the glass grabbing 12 rebounds, eight of which were offensive giving her team second chances.
The Falcons on paper should have won this game shooting 32% from the field, six percentage points more than the Bearcats. Alexa Leynes led them with 13 points and Haeley Williams scored 12.
