The Falcons recorded their first win of the season with a three point upset victory over the Chargers. Offensively Alexa Leynes caught fire dropping a game high 28 points and gathered 10 rebounds. Bronte Stark also pulled down 10 rebounds.
Four of the five Chargers’ starters collected double-digits. Tessa Lannon-Paakspuu had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds and Jasmine de Vries finished with 14 points.
It’s the second straight loss for the Chargers, who opened the season winning four consecutive and checked in at #8 on the CCAA national rankings.

Capilano Blues 53
The Royals hammered the Blues winning each quarter on Saturday. Nanaya Miki had an outstanding game with 14 points and 12 rebounds and Sara Kurath came off the bench for 11 points.
As a matter of fact three of the five starters hit double-digits. Guard Amber Beasley has tallied 10 rebounds and six points.
The Blues on the other hand had a very tough shooting night. Ashley dela Cruz Yip had 11 points to lead the way. Carmelle M’Bikata swooped in for nine points and Emma Johnston .

Quest Kermodes 48
The Mariners played an outstanding road game, winning by 11 exploding for 27 points in the fourth quarter to put the game on ice. Emma Platner was great with 26 points and Emily Clarke chipped in with 16 points.
The Kermodes saw a big game from Kyra Boulding who came off the bench to score a team high 15 points and had three steals. Kimmy Aburegeba scored 12 points in the loss.
