Home Court Advantage
CBC's hopes of earning their first win of the season met with considerable resistance from the hometown Chargers last night. Today's afternoon matchup produced similar results.
"In the first two sets we came up against a very strong Camosun line up which played outstanding defense and virtually error free volleyball." stated CBC's coach Warkentin.
"Our third set was one of our better ones this year, yet again, we failed to maintain our composure at the end, missing out on two set point opportunities." continued Warkentin. "Curtis Stelzer continued to lead our team as he has all year with 9 kills out of the middle in three sets as well as one block. Both Ryan Newman and Ben Smith passed 2.41 and 2.45 and posted 8 and 7 digs respectively to give our team a good start off of our service and hitting reception."
The Chargers were lead by Alex Sadowski (6 kills, 6 blocks, 5 digs and 1 ace) and Savana Walkingbear (10 kills, 3 digs)
CBC get next weekend off to lick their wounds while Camosun are back on the road and face the #3 nationally ranked Douglas Royals.
