It was a back and forth game on Sunday afternoon as both teams had their opportunities to score. As the game progressed the Falcons seemed to have a bit more jump and finally found the back of the net in the 84th minute. With David Rodriguez Zegarra controlling the ball in the box, he was hauled down and the referee correctly awarded a penalty kick. Rodriguez Zegarra made no mistake burying the shot in the bottom left corner giving the Falcons a 1-0 lead.
In extra time the Falcons added some insurance when Athos Michellpis de Siqueira scored his second of the season courtesy of a free kick from the right side.
It was a successful weekend for the Falcons with a win on Sunday and a 1-1 tie on Saturday. The Blues offence however has disappeared getting shutout in both games this weekend.
