A Blues and Royals victory and a tie highlighted Wee 2

The defending PACWEST champion Royals came out flying and jumped on the Mariners in the eighth minute when Nawaf Binsaleh scored his first of the season and carried this lone goal into halftime.
After the break both offences went to work. The Mariners first tied the game in the 52nd minute when Ryan McCurdy tallied his first of the season, however just two minutes later Race Williams got his second of the season to regain the Royals lead. He then scored his second of the game and third of the season in the 70th minute.
The Mariners did have a late charge when Max Moehn tallied his first of the season to cut the lead to one. However Williams scored the hat trick in the 90th minute capping off a terrific individual performance.
Keeper Jared Horvath picked up the win for the Royals make six saves while Evan Carr suffered the loss making three saves.

VIU Mariners 3
These two offences picked up right where they left off on Saturday scoring another six goals combined. In the two games over the weekend they combined for an impressive 12 goals.
The Mariners opened the scoring on Sunday when Joel Harry found the back of the net beating keeper Jared Horvath in the 21st minute.
The Royals would answer with Race Williams who scored three times on Saturday. He would tie the score in the 32nd minute with his fifth goal of the young season. However just five minutes later the Mariners regained the lead when Taylor Arbour scored his second of the year in the 37th minute.
The seesaw first half continued as the Royals tied it again with who else? Williams scored his second of the game in the 41st minute and it looked like it would be tied heading into halftime, but wait. In the 44th minute the Mariners took their third lead of the game when Cole Senchar found the back of the net for his first of the season.
The second half wasn’t as wild and only saw one goal, but it was a big one. In the 72nd minute Edris Najm tied the game for the Royals again.
Both keepers, Jared Horvath and Evan Carr faced five shots and made two saves through the contest.

Langara Falcons 0
The Blues completely dominated the Falcons on Sunday afternoon scoring three in the first half, then three more in the second half.
Jeremy Monn-Djasngar opened the scoring in the 12th minute getting a ball past the keeper Kevin Monk who found himself extremely busy throughout the afternoon.
Veteran Keith Jackson then scored back to back goals in the 16th and 34th minutes giving the Blues a healthy lead heading into halftime.
The onslaught continued in the second half with Monn-Djasngar scoring his second of the game in the 51st minute. Ten minutes after that Bryce Millway tallied his first of the year in the 61st minute before Monn-Djasngar scored in the 79th minute to complete the hat trick.
Keeper Hudson Nelles made four saves to earn the shutout.
