Douglas Royals 3
VIU Mariners 3
It was the best game of the weekend as these two powerhouses played to a 3-3 tie.
Victor Blasco opened the scoring with his second of the season giving the Mariners the lead. After the Royals tied it, they took the lead when Quinn
Dawson scored his second in as many games.
Not to be outdone the Mariners then tied it when Shun Takano got his second of the season.
In a back and forth game, rookie Royal Tomi Fagopngbe gave the home side a 3-2 lead heading into the late stages of the contest. However a Mariners rookie then tied it again as Govinda Innes blasted home a corner kick in the dying minutes and that’s where the game would end.
