For the fifth time this season, the CapU Blues faced PACWEST rival, the KPU Eagles in a game that determined who would be playing for a national championship gold medal. The Blues came out of the gate quickly with Bruno Fieri-Marinho scoring in the 5th minute and All-Canadian Kristian Yli-Hietanen netting one in the 7th minute, giving the Blues an early lead 2-0. KPU's Binsaleh was able to convert a penalty kick to bring the Eagles within one, before Fieri-Marinho contributed his second goal of the game off a perfect free kick from Kaymar Amini.
The halftime break did not halt the Blues momentum at all as Yli- Hietanen scored in the 47th minute and Lucien Kessler added one to the Blues lead to make the game 5-1 in the 65th minute of play. The Blues were able to outlast a very tenacious Eagles squad to advance to the CCAA men's soccer gold medal game with a 5-1 victory.
Fieri-Marinho was awarded player of the game for the Blues.
