Offensively the Mariners shot 48% from the field and their defence was suffocating allowing just six points in the second quarter on route to the victory. Jerod Dorby led the way with 20 points and Usama Zaid tallied 19 in the win.
They also saw a solid contribution from their bench as five players came off the bench and scored points.
For the Kermodes their main production came from four of the five starters. Chris McAlpine notched 15 to lead his club and Payton Tirrell added 11 points.
Langara Falcons 101
Camosun Chargers 83
The Falcons offence exploded leading the game from start to finish and shot 45% from the field. They dominated the second quarter outscoring the Chargers 34-9.
In all five players reached double-digits led by Harry Brar’s 25 points coming off the bench and shot 11 of 14 from the field. Graddy Zubaidi added 15 points and eight rebounds. As a matter of fact the Falcons bench outscored the Chargers 42-28.
Offensively the Chargers shot 35% led by Matthew Gray’s 19 points and 12 from Mathew Hampton. Dallas Hancox completed the double-double with 11 points and 12 boards.
Douglas Royals 109
CBC Bearcats 63
The Royals pulled away in the third quarter dropping 31 points, then added 35 more in the fourth quarter cruising to a big victory. They shot an incredible 51% from the field.
Six players hit the double-digit mark. Josiah Mastandrea led all scorers with 17 while Sylvester Appiah and Sean Toporowski each tallied 14 points.
The Bearcats were led by Ty Cleland who dropped 22 points including five of six from downtown. The only other player to reach double-digits was Jack Nadelhoffer who tallied 10.

The most exciting game of the weekend with 10 lead changes, three ties and a “no basket” call as time expired in the fourth quarter. The shot would have tied the game for the Chargers.
Falcons’ guard Martin Bogajev was outstanding with a game high 29 points including nailing six of 10 from downtown. Harry Liu was also solid with 18 points and Ravi Basra finished with 16 points and 10 assists.
On the Chargers side Shaquille Maharaj led the pack with 27 points. Dallas Hancox tallied 10 points and 10 rebounds while Matthew Gray had a great night adding 21 points

The Mariners offence was rolling on Saturday shooting 45% from the field led by Usama Zaid who scored a game high 24 points. Harry Fayle was also dangerous with 20 points and seven rebounds while Tyus Barfoot chipped in with 12 points and five assists.
The Kermodes played well, but their 14 turnovers didn’t allow them to get a rhythm. Four of their players scored double-digits led by Ben Steinbrueck’s 17 points and eight assists. Kenneth Monture came off the bench and dropped in 11 points.

The Royals used a 30 point second quarter to jump out in front of the Bearcats and never looked back. In all, they shot 43% from the field and saw 60 points come from their bench players including a team high 17 from Josiah Mastandrea. Noah DeRappard-Yuswack scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds while Grant Campbell dropped 12 and had eight assists.
The Bearcats got a mammoth game from Jack Nadelhoffer who scored a game high 23 points, had 12 rebounds and four assists. Teammate Ty Cleland was also solid with 20 points. These two players scored 43 of the Bearcats’ 69 points.
