The Blues, Mariners and Kermodes get it done on Saturday

It was a tail of two halves with the Blues coming back from 24 points down to capture the victory. They outscored the Chargers 21-8 in the third frame to bring the game within four and then took over in the fourth quarter propelling them to the win. Denver Sparks-Guest led the offence with 18 point s and Nathan Bromige collected 17.
The Chargers went cold in the second half. After shooting 47% in the first half, they shot just 28% the rest of the way. Dallas Hancox was impressive with 12 points and 17 rebounds and Matthew Nelson along with Mathew Hampton each had 13 points.
VIU Mariners 84
Douglas Royals 58
After suffering their first loss of the season on Friday, the Mariners blasted out of the gate outscoring the Royals 23-12. They shot an incredible 50% from the floor led by the 33 points from Usama Zaid who was four of six from downtown. Tyus Barfoot had a very solid game with 18 points and created a pair of steals.
Kameron Johnson off the bench was one of the bright spots for the Royals scoring 14 points. Their bench outscored the Mariners 32-5.

The Kermodes shot an impressive 40% from the field to complete the weekend sweep. Chris McAlpine led the way for the home side with 19 points on seven of 13 shooting. Both Jonavan Grant and Ben Steinbrueck each scored 12 points and Payton Tirrell captured 18 rebounds.
Three Bearcat shooters hit double-digits led by the 19 from Tim Dick and the 17 from Jack Nadelhoffer.
