Saturday Men's Basketball Rewind
The Mariners, Chargers and Falcons each win on Saturday

For the second straight day the Chargers held down the high flying Royals offence and collected a massive road win after a strong second half. Overall the offence shot 48%, but in the second half alone they shot 57% from the field. Mathew Hamilton caught fire with 26 points while Matthew Nelson scored 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Royals shot 37% from the field but were frustrated on the defensive side. That said, offensively Noah DeRappard-Yuswack scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Reese Morris dropped in 12 as well.
VIU Mariners 90
Capilano Blues 76
The Mariners set the tone with 27 points in the first quarter and never looked back shooting 51% from the field. Usama Zaid was outstanding with 31 points and 10 rebounds. Meanwhile Tyus Barfoot had another strong game with 19 points and Bryson Cox dropped in 16.
The Blues scored 20 points off the 18 turnovers they created and shot 34% for the game. Hassan Phills matched Zaid with 31 points and Denver Sparks-Guest scored 22 in the loss.

The Falcons hot shooting continued on Saturday night as they shot 47% in the lopsided victory. Five different players scored double-digits led by the 21 from Antonio Jhuty and 17 from both Harry Liu and Harry Brar. Ravi Basra conducted the offence and tallied 11 points and 11 assists.
The Bearcats shot 32% from the field on Saturday led by Jack Nadelhoffer who was outstanding with 15 points and 19 rebounds. Michael Olive chipped in with 13 points.
