The CapU Blues men’s basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season as they beat the visiting Camosun Chargers Friday night, 77-64.
After a strong first-half defensive performance, the Blues entered the break with a comfortable 41-30 lead over the Chargers; second-year guards Martin Bogajev (15 points) and Brendan Bailey (10 points) led the way for the Blues in the first half.
Three deep threes by Capilano's Bogajev (27 points) in the second half halted the Chargers momentum to carry the Blues to the victory. Camosun's Matthew Hampton (17 points), AJ Beaudry (13 points) and Ted Neilson (10 points) were the top Chargers scorers.
