The third tournament of the PACWEST golf season will be hosted at the Chilliwack Golf Club by the UFV Cascades today and tomorrow.
Last week the golfers had the week off to not only prepare for this weekend, but also the PACWEST championship set for the following weekend on the Island.
Through the first two tournaments Wyatt Brook of the VIU Mariners is on top of the men’s leaderboard with a cumulative score of 277, three strokes better than the defending CCAA gold medalist Daniel Campbell of the Cascades. Marcus Apchin, who won the first tournament of the season from the UBC Okanagan Heat is six strokes back at 283.
On the women’s leaderboard rookie Samantha Copeland of the Heat has been on fire winning her first two PACWEST tournaments with a cumulative score of 335, six strokes better than Alex Foston of the Mariners.
Both leaderboards could come down to the final hole this weekend in Chilliwack.
