The PACWEST is proud to announce the volleyball Athletes of the Week following Week 6 of the regular season.

Women’s Volleyball Athlete of the Week
Tyneille Neufeld – Capilano Blues

Third-year outside hitter Tyneille Neufeld excelled on both side of the ball for Capilano in their weekend sweep of Camosun. In Friday’s 3-2 win she racked up 19 kills and 16 digs, then followed that up with 15 kills and 17 digs over three sets on Saturday. As part of her strong all-around play, Neufeld also recorded four aces over the two matches.

Men’s Volleyball Athlete of the Week
Ben Friesen - UFV Cascades

The third-year left sidehad an outstanding weekend as the Cascades earned a sweep of the visiting College of the Rockies Avalanche. On Saturday, the captain racked up 13 kills, 16 digs and a block in five sets. Then in Sunday’s rematch, he hammered down 15 kills and registered another 16 digs as the Cascades prevailed in four sets.
