PACWEST Volleyball Championship
UFV will host for the first time in school history Thursday-Saturday
The 2018 volleyball PACWEST Championship tournament is set to go beginning on Thursday afternoon on the campus of the University of the Fraser Valley for the first time in school history. The six team tournament gives the top two seeds a bye into the semi-finals which are scheduled for Friday. Then Saturday the medal matches will take place with the winner punching their ticket to the National Championship.
On the women's side the CCAA has awarded the PACWEST with a wild card berth in qualifying for the nationals. So in essence the teams in the gold medal match on Saturday will both head to Grande Prairie for the championship.
On the men's side Camosun College will host the nationals. The Chargers receive the automatic hosting berth and the PACWEST champion will also attend.
