PACWEST Soccer Championships Begins

The bracket is set for the 2018 PACWEST Soccer Championships beginning on Friday hosted by the Capilano Blues at the Burnaby Sports Complex.

The championship tournament kicks off on Friday at 12:00pm and features the women’s semi-final. The second seeded Douglas Royals open the tournament facing the #3 Capilano Blues. Then the men’s bracket will open at 2:30pm as the #2 Royals face the #3 seeded Langara Falcons.

Then Saturday afternoon the PACWEST medals will be handed out beginning with the women’s gold medal game at 12:00pm where the #1 VIU Mariners await the winner of the semi-final. If the Royals advance to the title game then both the Royals and Mariners will be off to the CCAA nationals in which Douglas is hosting regardless of the final score.

Following the women’s final the men will take centre stage as the top ranked Capilano Blues await the winner of the Royals-Falcons semi. With the PACWEST earning two slots at the CCAA nationals the Blues have already punched their ticket. The winner of the semi will join them. The men’s national championship is hosted at Holland College on Prince Edward Island.
