The Quest Athletics & Recreation Department is dedicated to bringing a fun and friendly environment to students, faculty and staff, and to all members of the Squamish community.
The Quest Recplex holds an official-size basketball court, two squash courts, two weight rooms, change room facilities, and an indoor rock climbing gym. On the top floor there is a balcony that overlooks the all-weather, artificial turf soccer field and our newly renovated gym. In addition, there are two outdoor tennis courts that double up as outdoor basketball courts.
For the tournament, all games will be held on the Quest all-weather, artificial turf soccer field. See attached campus map and directions for details.
A player of the game will be selected at the conclusion of every game. The selection will be done and announced while the teams are shaking hands. Photo will be taken of the Player of the Game and presenter.
As per the PACWEST policy, the head official, PACWEST Soccer Convenor (or designate) and an Executive member will comprise this committee. A copy of the Grievance/Protest procedures will be provided at the Coaches Meeting.
A therapy area will be on site for the duration of the tournament. Athletes will be required to provide their own tape, pro-wrap, and/or any other supplies they may need. Emergency protocol instructions will be provided to each coach by Jean-Francois Plouffe, Athletic Director. Ice and plastic bags are provided free of charge for your convenience, located directly outside the gymnasium in the RecPlex.
The coaches’ conference call will take place on Monday October 23rd, 2017. All teams are required to have a representative on the call. The number to call will be circulated one week prior to the scheduled call. The Coaches’ Conference call package will get sent out on Monday Oct 16th, 2017.
Please RSVP to Associate Athletic Director, Dany Charlery at dany.charlery@questu.ca by Thursday October 19th, with who will be representing your institution on the call.
A light concession will be available throughout the tournament. Our campus dining hall, located just a short walk up the hill towards the main University buildings will also be open during regular business hours.
The higher seeded team will be designated as the HOME team and will wear light colored uniforms. All teams must bring a light and dark set of uniforms to the championships. Uniform colors will be confirmed at the coaches meeting.
Change rooms will be assigned each day. Signs will be placed on each change room door. Squash courts will be used as change-rooms for teams, with the possibility of locking your belongings in the squash courts.
All games will be recorded by the Quest Athletic Department Staff. Coaches MUST supply their own USB stick if they wish to receive game film. Please ensure that your USB stick is clearly marked for identification.
