Falcons Claim Bronze

The Langara Falcons snapped their five game playoff losing streak with an 82-71 victory over the Camosun Chargers in the men’s bronze medal game on Saturday.

Early on the Falcons used the three pointer to jump in front, hitting 50% in the first half. They finished the game connecting on 10 of them led by Harry Brar who dropped four of five shots and collected a game high 15 points. Harry Liu was solid on the both ends of the floor with 14 and six rebounds and Graddy Zubaidi chipped in with 12 points. Ravi Basra was named player of the game with seven points and 11 assists as he quarterbacked their offence.

The Chargers shot 35% in a losing cause led by Matthew Nelson and his 14 points. He also added seven rebounds and had a monster block and was named the player of the game. Mathew Hampton dropped in 13 points and had 13 rebounds while Ismail Abdulahi tallied 10 points.

The Falcons’ bronze medal is their first since 2002. It’s also their first PACWEST medal since their silver in 2016.
